Student Orientation
The
student orientation is organized on the first and second days of the session.
Organized faculty-wise, the students and their parents are welcomed to the
college, and are informed about the college code of conduct, various subject societies
and opportunities for self-growth and skill acquisition. Teachers in charge of
various activities address the students and inform them about important events
in the college calendar.
An
important part of this interaction is that the students and parents are
informed about various support systems like scholarships, grievance redressal
regarding college and university issues, and the women studies and support cell
which addresses all issues of gender bias on one hand, and creates an
atmosphere of mutual respect, learning and growing together.
The
college has a vibrant cultural and social life, and accordingly, teachers in
charge of talent search and cultural activities as well as sports too address
the students and apprise them of various opportunities to explore and develop
their talents.
The
college has an award-winning Youth Red Cross unit as well NSS and Red Ribbon
club. All students are encouraged to contribute towards social service and
learn to be responsible citizens of this great nation.
