Under the esteemed guidance of Respected Principal Madam Dr. Ritika Gupta Pt. J.L.N. Govt. College Faridabad ,Department of Psychology organised One day training programme on Understanding Mental health and well being in students under NTF cell (13-16 July, 2026). This was done for four different batches - two batches each of Teaching and two of non teaching staff members. The staff members from three different colleges - G.C Faridabad, G.C Keri Gujran and G.C.W Faridabad- participated. A one-day training programme on "Understanding Mental Health and Well-being in Students: A Compassionate Approach" was organized to enhance educators' understanding of students' mental health needs and to promote a supportive learning environment. The programme aimed to equip college staff from different colleges with the knowledge and practical strategies required to identify signs of emotional distress, foster positive mental health, and respond compassionately to students facing psychological challenges. The keynote speaker Dr. Tanu Shree Dhaiya emphasized that academic success is closely linked to students' emotional and psychological well-being. The session encouraged lecturers to recognize their role not only as educators but also as mentors who can positively influence students' lives. Overall, the training programme was highly informative, interactive, and inspiring. It highlighted the importance of understanding students' mental health with empathy and compassion rather than judgment. The programme reinforced the idea that educators play a vital role in nurturing emotionally healthy, resilient, and confident learners.
